I got 3rd in the first 2 stages then 4th then 7th
This last stage killed me. I missed to much then was to slow.
First match out since going through the covid thing earlier last month. Trying to get in a few matches before Area 8. Some mistakes, but a lot of good stuff to.
Took 5th overall, 85% of a CO GM and beat some M and A dot shooters at a club that is notoriously unfriendly to us locap people
Went to the range for the 2nd time in two weeks yesterday. Last time was to run some rounds through my 625 and verify that my installation of the TK Custom Speed Hammer was successful, which came as a major disappointment as I can no longer see the front sight. With my reading glasses on, I could, but then the target was a massive blur. <sigh> At least the hammer did proper hammer things. I decided it was time to put an RDS on this gun to go along with the RDS on my field-carry P80 and my Ruger 22/45 Lite. I got the RDS Sunday, installed it, and went to the range yesterday. I warmed up with the 22/45 (RDS and can), then proceeded to get the 625's RDS dialed in.
Here are the results of 18 double-action shots at 10yds (the black square is 1"):
The shot at 11'o-clock? That little guy, I wouldn't worry about that little guy.
I need to move out to 25yds+ but I'm happy with how it's doing at the 10yd sight-in.
Groups without the RDS were 3x as large without my reading glasses and 2x as large with them.
While I was there, a father and son showed up in the lane next to me with their 22/45 Lite. Dad was showing the boy how to handle the gun and general shooting basics. I had finished up with mine and the suppressor had cooled off enough to handle, so during a pause, I leaned into their lane and offered them the use of the can. Everyone should have an opportunity to try one how, it's like giving someone that first hit for free. They seemed to enjoy it and dad made a comment about getting one of his own.
