Thread: What did you shoot today?

  1. #1041
Shot a local USPSA match today and at the last minute decided to switch from production to Limited and dug out my STI DVC-L.
Ended up having a great time. I won limited by 15% and finished overall just under 6% of a pair of Open Masters, not too bad for a gun I have not touched since last November

    ...my answer is "timber rattler"

Shot this bastard this evening but not before he bit my dog. One more time at the emergency vet with the anti-venom. I guess I am spending the dog's college fund...he won't get to go.

After work today, I took my "nearly like new" S&W 25-5 to the range and burned some of my late father's handloads (230gr plated RN over 6gr Bullseye). I've had this gun for about 2 or 3 years now and the 100 or so rounds I put through it yesterday was 3x as many as I've put through it previously.

With that load, it shot well at 7yds (1 large ragged hole), but fell apart at 10yds. I think it's mostly due to my aging eyesight. I struggled to see the front sight as anything but a blur. The dim lighting of the range didn't help any.

Today's rangey goodness was steel plates with revolvers and suppressed AR-15 on paper.

If that is the one I think it is I’m glad it is getting range time.
