Match LTT, about 135 rounds at an “outlaw” (non sanctioned) USPSA type match.

Great job today! The stage I saw you shoot was tough and complicated. You shot very well. The hard work and training has obviously made a big difference.

I did a comparison test between the CZ 455 on the right, and the Vudoo on the left, at 23.5 yards using SK Standard. It looks like I am going to need to move the target out a little bit further

Veterans Day range trip, we were at two areas on the same property (And this is California lol). One range had targets from 25-600 and the other was 1,300-2,000 yards. Brought a ton of fantastic gear out and a huge thanks to our host.

My absolute favorite yesterday, this thing was so soft to shoot. 20+ pounds of 6 GT (aka Gay Tiger) goodness topped off with a Zero Compromise Optic ZC527 5-27x56.

I don't do Facebook but we need details here. As a huge 6mm fan, what bullet were you using and is that what you used to get to 2K?

I think the 6mm's made it to about 1,600, the 30/28 Nosler is what I shot out to 2K. We also had rifles in 6GT, 6.5 CM, 6.5 PRC, .284 Shehane and I think that's it.

"As a lot of you have already heard and seen, George Gardner of GA Precision and Tom Jacobs (2x 600yd/1000yd Benchrest Shooter of the Year) have developed a new round called the 6GT.

Some basic info on the 6GT:

Parent case: 6.5x47L
35 degree shoulder for better feeding.
No magazine inserts or modifications required.
Optimal case efficiency @ 34-35.5 grains of varget.
3020-3080 fps with 103-105 grain bullets and approx 3000 fps with 115's.

Alpha will be coming out with commercial brass by August of 2019.

Dies are currently available from Hornady. RCBS and Redding are due by late fall of 2019

Reamers and Head space gauges are available through GA Precision.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Dasher build but the 6GT popped up. After doing some reading and talking to George I decided to get one spun up to gather real world data vs. the Dasher, 6BRA, 6BR, 6BRX, and 6CMs we have in our club.

My wants:
1. Push a 115gn DTAC @ 2920 to 2930fps safely in the Sacramento heat.
2. Commercial brass (soon) I don't mind forming to get the ball rolling, but don't want to make 1000s of pieces from scratch.
3. No freaking mag kits. I want to run the same mag I do with every other caliber I own. 260rem, 6.5x47L, 308win, ect.
4. Barrel needs to go 2200 to 2500 rounds with match grade reliability and accuracy. Subjective and will vary by individual needs. Luckily I don't shoot very tight.

George said the 6GT will do everything I am looking for so here we are.

He was also kind enough to send me 20 loaded rounds made from 6.5x47 brass, some Alpha brass to test, dies, Giraud shell holder, and answer a bunch of text concerning forming brass.

I have not done a lot of wildcat type rounds so I enlisted Dan Bertocchini's aka "Dasher Dan" help. He likes to geek out on this stuff and has a lot more experience than I do with this type of thing. Dan also shoots a lot tighter than I do."

"Lunch League" at work, this month's challenge (from one of my coworkers) was to score hits anywhere on a piece of paper out to 25 yards, 10 rounds. You could start at any distance (out to 25), but if you missed, you had to come back to 5 yards and work your way out again. No time limit, could use any kind of supporting, any optic.

I decided to rep my P-F skillz, and use a B8, unsupported, iron sights on the PX4CC. 10 hits at 25, each coming up from low-ready (I did cheat a bit: I only used the single action trigger; I wanted to win)



Not quite up to the Bolke/Dobbs standard, but not bad for the Lunch League.

Did a walk back drill I'll call trigger NOW!

2" circles at 5, 7, 10 yards. Shot timer set to random between 2-4 seconds to allow grip and sight picture.

Start with sights aligned on target, trigger finger indexed along the frame, .50 second par to break a clean shot into the circle.

5 yards was simple, 7 was pretty sporty, and 10 yards took some work. Got to the point where I could get 5 reps clean and then maybe throw one or two.

After the 10 yard work the Garcia dots became huge at 7 yards, and I could get away with slapping the hell out of the trigger.
