AZ State Trooper killed another wounded in the West Valley

AVONDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ/AP) - An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper has died and another is injured following a shooting on Interstate 10 in the west Valley.

According to DPS, two troopers were shot and another was injured during a struggle with a suspect near I-10 and Dysart late Wednesday night

Trooper Edenhofer 10449 was still in FTO. He and his trainer responded to an “unarmed” suspect throwing rocks at cars. They got in a struggle and the suspect grabbed one of their guns shooting both Troopers. Suspect was wounded in the shoulder.

The suspect is a mental patient but hard to say he targeted cops based on the info in the news article.

Targeted implies something like we saw in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

This is just regular crazy having a bad day. It happens.
