LA Confidential is great too, one of the few movies that I liked better than the book.

I grew up on Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, and Beverly Hills Cop, but wouldn't confuse them with...reality.

The Wire is probably the best police series ever filmed.

Toss up between The Wire and Reno 911.

Close, but I think that honor definitely goes to the first season of True Detective.

The Wire especially the first two seasons is definitely > Season 1 of True Detective. True Detective S1 is good but its not this good:

Hey, I LOVED Turner and Hooch. Tom Hanks is great in that movie. Not my favorite of his early comiedies but I still really like it.

I watched The Gauntlet again the other day. I like that movie but I can see why it doesn't get as much attention. It's not bad but it's not as good as the first couple Dirty Harry movies or many of Clint's westerns.

Bad Boys II is one of my favorite comedies, even if the story is absurd.
