One of my favorites when I was a kid (loved sci-fi).

    Favorite quote:

"Make me a sergeant in charge of the booze!"

From a wineo who reports seeing giant ants in the LA River.

    and my favorite......

    The Untouchables

Notable mentions to Dirty Harry, Gangster Squad, LA Confidential, Bullitt, The Departed and Donnie Brasco.

ETA: The Departed could probably go up in my favorites list, and Donnie Brasco could probably be taken off the list. Great movie, great story, but it's less of a cop story and more of an OC movie in which the protagonist happens to be a cop...if that makes sense.

Close, but I think that honor definitely goes to the first season of True Detective.

You would be wrong. (With respect, of course. And I did really enjoy the first season of True Detective right up until the last couple of episodes.)

Lot of great movies mentioned here. I also enjoyed "The Departed" despite it having some folks in leading roles that I generally can't abide.
(Hell, I even enjoyed "Internal Affairs". Interesting seeing Richard Gere as a dirtbag.)

End of Watch was the last one that had me feeling verklempt.

Police Academy. At least the first seventeen or so, then they went downhill.

You are entitled to your opinion, now matter how wrong it may be.
