It is important to match bullet diameter to bore diameter.
The old 25s all had large throats but bores run .451-.452. Rifling grooves are very shallow on these guns.
The forcing cone is gonna get a helluva workout with cast bullets much over .454.
I get good results with .452 cast bullets and modest loads.
The new Starline .45 Auto Rim brass is excellent for cast bullets FWIW.

The bore slugs .451 (thank goodness the 25-2 has an even number of grooves).
There’s a group buy discussion over on the castboolits forum for a MiHec .45 HBWC mold that I hope will get enough interest to make it to production. An HB should be just the ticket for oversized throats.
