I’m ready to play. What’s the current recipe for creating issues in G26.5? Components, ammo skus, etc. if not a sku, suggest cartridge particulars
26.5 users I know report only boring reliability.

The 26 just been a sweet spot for smartcarry over the years. I’ve tried
J frames and the round grip prints. When I tried a shied and other single stacks for some reason the grips seem to print. When I use a 26 it just disappears. I also find the 26 the easiest to get a grip
on. Can’t explain it.
My first outing with the Glock 26.5 is thread #927. Short version, the pistol was 100% with the 200 rounds shot.
Today (7-20), I shot 148 rounds total with the 26.5. 100% this time too. This is a USA version, now with 348 rounds through it. The slide is still tight. Absolutely no lateral movement of slide at the rear rails, and ever so minute movement at the front rails. In fact the front movement is so small, I've seen other new pistols with more movement before I put the first round through it.
Now the facts, just the facts. Magazines used were all Glock OEM. 3 10-rounders, 5 12-rounders, and 1 17 rounder without a spacer. Orange #7 followers in all. I shot 107 rounds of Blazer brass 147gr fmj. These rounds have a flat nose. 100% function. Not even close to a glitch. Next up was HST 147gr JHP, 41 rounds shot. Again 100% with no hint of trouble.
I was curious about the 17 round magazine and function. Loaded with 17 rounds of Blazer, then 17 rounds of the HST. That was 34 rounds of boring reliability......not complaining at all.
I am liking this 26.5 more and more. Looking forward to my next outing!!
I saw a new G5 26 in the LGS today, first one I have seen for sale in ages.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
In fairness to the Gen 5 26 Glocks and any malfunction issues. If I am not mistaken the Gen 5 0-8-2 spring is the same for the Gen 3 and Gen 4. When Glock switched to the 0-8-2 spring from the 0-8-1, I believe malfunctions were occurring with Gen 3 and Gen 4 guns using new 0-8-2 springs. Any issues with a Gen 5 26 might also happen with a new Gen 3 or Gen 4 26 also.
