Welcome aboard! Always nice to see another fan of the stubby gun.

From January 2nd to mid-March (give or take), my job ramps up from stoopidly stressful and overworked to a nightmare sprint with blood pressure spikes and stomach issues, so jumping onto P-F for some actual gun threads for 10min here or there is almost a form of therapy...this thread especially. So before I head in for even more OT this dark and lovely Saturday morning...

    Bunch of questions for @Glock26:

What gen(s) are your competition Glocks?

Assuming you edc; is it a G26?
    - Gen?
    - Preferred carry mag? Reload mag?
    - Holster? Position?
    - Dot on edc? If not, what sights do you run?

What are your thoughts on thumb position when shooting one handed?

Any notes on running longer mags in the Baby Glock?

Man, that felt good, even better than Mylanta, almost as good as tonight's highly anticipated booze.

    Cheers, all.

    • 5
    • OEM G26 10rd and OEM G17/34 17rd, respectively
    • Tier 1 Concealed Axis Slim, appendix
    • RMR06 3.25 MOA, no irons, slide milled by BattleWerx

Relaxed thumb with it slightly flagged upwards. Pictures for reference:

Nothing of note. Never had any issues with OEM mags. I never tried any grip sleeves, so I have no opinion on them.

    Take care.

Your CC having a RMR and no irons us of great interest to me - I’ve been considering something similar. I think at this point in time the RMR and possibly the RMRcc are the only ones I could trust like this for concealment on a small gun.

Personally, I would trust Holosun and Trijicon for concealed carry. That being said, I ultimately trust my index the most. The way I think about it, for a self-defense shooting scenario, everything is a backup to my index.

Agreed. That is a skill I need to polish.

I think of the Glock 26 as "The little engine that could."

@GAP hasn't steered me wrong since he started this thread, so I ordered the 3M tape he linked...fekkin fantastic mod. I really, really like how it locks my grip and I'm stoopidly happy that I've got pretty much a lifetime supply in the one roll.

Yep. Aside from the Gen 5, which I already have Talon Grips on thanks to @TC215, I put the @GAP tape on my original G26, as well as a G19, G17 and even "blue guns". Great stuff, indeed.
