Day 4 Glock. Almost got it clean under 5 sec including the .50 sec penalty for not using concealment:

Been working on the break-down/micro drills of the FAST test for about 4 weeks. I used to be a high 5's, low 6's out of my duty rig ALS and shot a 5.85 (6.35 with the 0.5 penalty) with a stock VP9 back in the day for the hat pin.
Shot this to start the other day.
Obviously that would incur the 0.5 penalty out of an ALS rig, but I was happy with it. Followed it up with a 4.45 (1 miss on the head box) and a 4.39 clean.
My draw is easily the weakest portion, but I can make up on the reload.

Today I finally broke 5.0 after a month of hovering at the cusp. I know there are many on the forum that can break that barrier with room to spare, but I’m proud of myself for finally reaching my goal.
The next short term goal (after confirming I can repeat this level of performance) will be crushing 20.0 on the 5x5, because I’ve been hovering just above that too.
4.95 from concealment. G19.5 stock internals with RM06. DSG Orion and Koala.

6 weeks of breaking this down...emphasis of working on my problem areas of draw and reload. This was the LAST clean run I've done before going live in Ernest's class and screwing the pooch. Crushed the draw and reload only to see a hole out of the 3x5"...I literally felt my heart in my stomach before busting the last 4 shots that were meaningless at that point.
Made some great strides in pistol work but my carbine and precision rifle game has suffered from neglect. Next task is to figure out how to strike a proper balance so I don't have to play catch up.
Again, Glock 19X w/RMR from ALS duty rig

This weekend I got two-in-a-row sub 5's on this drill. It had been about 10 days since I had fired my handgun previously.
Handgun setup was a Gen 4 G19 Roland. It was wearing a 1moa RM09, KKM comp, Overwatch Precision magwell, and a TTI Minus Connector. From a DSG Rigel AIWB. Reload was a G19 mag with TTI +5 extension from a DSG Koala.
1st run was a 4.92 clean. Then for the second run, I had a friend record it and I later rendered it in the Shot Coach app.
2nd run was 4.53 clean.
This is a new high score for me, and the first time I have gotten two in a row clean with witnesses. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the target or shot timer, to my dismay it was deleted.

Edit to add: If anyone can help embed the video, that would be awesome. For whatever reason, when I attempt to add the video to the post, nothing appears

Three runs on the FAST today. With the exception of my reloads, which were rusty and also suffering from slightly different magazine position on my work vs. not-work pants (gonna have to try to get the positions the same but the belt loops are conspiring against that…) they went very well. Yes, that one shot is a hit. There is a really tiny bit of grease ring on the 3x5. I wouldn’t say these results are representative of stress performance – this was just three consecutive runs alone on the range, so no stress penalty had to be paid.

I’ve known about this drill for a while, but Ive never shot it. Last Saturday I did a half-day, drills class, using my wife’s P30SK LEM. We did a lot of shooting from 20-25yrs, with the other guys all shooting full size guns. I’ve never shot it from that far, and my first 4 attempts at the FAST drill were failures, due to misses. Finally, I got a lucky with a clean run @ 7.77. It’s a very challenging drill, primarily due to the reload, which I don’t practice.
Once I get my P30 back from Its NP3 makeover, I’d love to try this drill.
I totally forgot to post this! After getting my coin, I went back to dedicated revolver shooting, and am currently obsessed with the idea of a sub 5.00 FAST with a wheelyboi. I do absolutely think it's possible, as in this video I shoot a clean 5.64.
