I haven't shot a lot of FAST this year but I'm working on getting comfortable with it using a 1911. I shot it twice with the 9mm Operator and then once with the LB Operator (.45). The LBO's magazine release is still pretty stiff and I struggled to get that mag dropped.

Neither of the two with the 9mm were clean due to four dropped below the 3x5 in a remarkable group. I didn't warm up on 3x5s etc and I was lollypoppin' it in my sight picture.

I have noticed with some surprise at first that for hitting the low probability target twice, the lighter recoil of the 9mm doesn't seem to be much advantage for me.

I can only get those two hits so fast and its probably determined more by my vision of the sights and speed at which I can execute good presses and not by recoil management.

On the longer string to the high probability target I do see the 9mm advantage.

This pretty much matches a lot of experience getting hits like that on tight targets this year.

Ernest Langdon awarded FAST Coin #16 this week to Mr. David Knight in Georgia. He did it (according to Instagram) with an M&P 2.0 out of a Safariland SLS/ALS holster.

Big time congrats! Great shooting under pressure!

Also, thank you Mr. Langdon for all you do and for posting it on Instagram.
Thanks for posting that SoCalDep. Congratulations to Mr. Knight! IIRC, David Knight is one of the very top GSSF shooters nationally. My hat is off to you, wherever you are!

    Waaaay out west.
Latest three runs. First run was with a brand new SD9 VE, first time shooting the gun cold. With the last FAST the gun didn't lock back after the 3X5 shots so I had to slingshot the slide. Also video of two "The Test" runs.

    hey all. New guy here.

I downloaded and printed the FAST target but the scale seems off. circle is definitely smaller than 8".
Is this designed to be shot at 5m instead of 7?

    sorry if dumb question

You need to print it on legal-size paper
