Help me pick a couple new revolvers

I have no more advice on the guns, but I do recommend a post-push cool-down period before you give your bride her reward, or she’s liable to use it on you.

How long, I can’t say. But my youngest is 16, and I’m still waiting.

Is it possible to do a little file work to match the round butt profile?

It’s possible. Somebody did that and posted the process and photos a year or two ago. The biggest concern, IIRC, is making sure that the serial number will be undamaged to avoid committing a federal no-no.

I converted an older S&W 13-1 a few years ago.

My 4" M-19 has been converted. I did not do the work, there was a local guy that did gun work as a sideline he did some awesome work. He coulda been big time, except he would only work on your guns if he liked ya. I forget what dash it is (it is locked up and it is getting late). Today it would be too nice to do the surgery, but I had it done decades ago, back when it was just another revolver...

ETA: My serial number is intact, but that could vary.

Yep. There's a reason why unaltered M1903s are becoming a little pricey.

Unless I take away her carry gun's I don't think one more will hurt.
