If you can wear size 34 pants I would recommend a size 36 Specialist. Our general sizing instructions are to select a belt size that is two inches (2”) larger than your average pants size (for example if you wear size 34 pants with your carry gear choose a size 36 belt). Belts can adjust approximately 2" smaller than the labelled size to 3" larger than the labelled size.
We do not often have exchanges for sizing issues when our sizing instructions are followed however when we do it is almost always because the belt is too small.
For anyone who can wear two sizes or is an odd size like a 33 we recommend rounding up or using the largest size pants you wear as your pants size when following the sizing instructions.
If anyone has any questions about sizing please do not hesitate to reach out, we are more than happy to help in selecting the proper size.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but how does the Specialist compare with the Volund Atlas Slim belt. That is what I wear everyday and I do enjoy that it is more flexible and forms to the gear I hide forward of the hips. Just wondering if there are those here that have both the Specialist and the Atlas Slim that can give us a rundown of how one may excel above the other.

Because I owed a debt I could not pay.
They are quite comparable in general function. I find the buckle style of the Specialist more suited to my needs. It's easier for me to adjust and you don't have to deal with the thicker end-in-end thing that you do with a GHook. I don't always wear a spare mag, sometimes I keep a blade or TQ or other item IWB, sometimes just the gun. It makes it more of a pita to use the Volund.
If I always had the exact same loadout, it would be really close to a wash and I would decide entirely on color selection.

Really digging this belt so far.
Ordered one. I wear pants 32-34 depending on the style, so I ordered a size 36. Look forward to trying it, has to be better than the Old Navy belts I have been using.
I have used the Atlas slim for ~2 years now and I recently picked up a Specialist.
In terms of stiffness, the Specialist is much stiffer than the Atlas slim. I would rate the Specialist closer to a regular Atlas than to the slim Atlas. I definitely get noticeably more “hoop” effect from the Specialist than I do the Atlas slim. Perhaps the Specialist will break in more if I use it but I will probably be sticking with the Atlas slim.
Like Coal Train I tried to use & like the Atlas Slim but didn't find it rigid enough for my usage of a Shield AIWB. Once I bought my first Specialist (now have 3) I found what I need w/ out any of the *hoop* issues (too much rigidity) mentioned, so it seems Coal Train & I will agree to disagree on the two belts as YMMV is in play here.

Mack,
The Mastermind Tactics page now says: "Mastermind's books are currently closed for ordering." Is Graith going to be the way forward? What about the holsters?
I'm currently using mastermind tactics d-ring belt and mastermind holster for my px4. Been off the forum for a bit, curious about what's with the name change, lack of holsters, belts etc?
