Cap and ball saves a lot of time at the loading press.

Loading press when it’s dark out means lots more time shooting when it’s light out at the range.

Have to choose, I guess. I like both, in rifles. Never have shot a c&b revolver.

If you can lay hands on copies of the books Firearms of the American West, Vol 1 and 2, by Garavaglia and Worman, they have some pretty interesting information of historical use and writings of all manner of arms. My local library has them, I borrow them for refresher reading now and then. Reading about some things can be a great part of the enjoyment of their history and importance in the greater scheme of things. Helps make them come alive a bit more.

Great for reading while sipping a nice glass of one's favorite beverage.

My old friend that collected and traded in Sharps rifles had a set, the first ones I saw, then I discovered the library up north had a set. A signed set would be a great addition to ones personal library. Well done!
