Regent BR9

Brownells is listing a new handgun, the Regent BR9, that is an FN Hi Power clone. They list 2 models, one Cerakoted black and one stainless. With FN ceasing production of the model, I'm considering picking one of these up.
By all accounts, it appears to be a faithful and well made copy of the Hi Power. The downside is, considering the current geopolitical climate there, that it is made in Turkey.

I have not yet seen one and am relying on internet information to determine if this could be a good buy.. Has anyone here had a chance to look one over, or shoot it or even strip it down and take a look inside? If so, what were your impressions of the gun?

Buddy bought one. Nice clone. The Brownells drop in threaded barrel does not fit. And, the C&S Safety required significant amounts of fitting.

Bear Arms in Scottsdale had a base FN Hi Power today (used) for $499.... I would have bought it if I hadn’t already bought a browning.
