Careful. One could say with equal validity that the fit and finish quality of a WC 1911 offers no tangible & measurable performance benefit over a Springfield TRP or DW Specialist ,both of which sell for half as much.
Ultimately any firearm purchase above $400 involves a degree of personal preference, and I for one think there’s room for the $3000 1911 guy and the $3,000 striker gun fan too.

Anyone can afford anything if they save and truly want it. My income isn’t “Earth shattering”... but I’ve still managed to buy many guns that were more expensive than the Costa pistol. It’s about saving and paying attention (and being responsible with your money). When you start going into debt over guns like this, there’s a problem. When you save and pay cash, I don’t have an issue
