There's a local amateur club where we recently moved to that I'm thinking about joining. So I got my radio out and am messing around with it again. I've been monitoring their traffic on my local repeater, as well as the weekly net they host on Monday nights. Seems like a good solid group.
Question: Re: ARRL, do ya'll find that to be a useful resource these days? I recall looking into it in 2022 when I got my Technician license, but never joined up.
Thanks a bunch...rich KO4ZMP
I haven't been a member in over a decade. I never saw the value and their online resources were a hot mess at the time (and apparently still are, but older hams struggle with technology so who knows). It also sounds like they are dealing with similar end-stage corruption issues as the NRA, just not as public or expensive.
I'm just going to continue taking my radios out to the mountains and having fun without another "association" to join.
