We are talking about two different things. I get that it is for ACRO only, but will the shim sight work in ACRO cuts made by other vendors (they appear to imply it works on their cut only)or would it work on an MOS Glock or OR P10? If not, I hope someone does it soon... it looks easy.

If I could get the damn pics to work again it would help. But I assumed they make a specific cut that locks the shim in once the Acro is mounted. I do not believe the generic optic plates are the same. Maybe they can machine mos/universal mounting plates for optics ready pistols? I personally would prefer to give them the business they deserve for coming up with this.

I understand 100% that was the only info I had seen at the time unfortunately.

For the non-Bookface users, I grabbed these:
Hope it helps clarify. I had spoken with Matt Jacques by phone about the concept & shortly after saw the photos. Unfortunately I won't get the slide back before I head back to Gunsite.
We saw a couple of these in use over the last two days at an NLEFIA red dot sights for duty pistols class.
Feedback from users is somewhat mixed. People do tend to believe the tube shape should help naturally draw the eye but they also seem to feel it would be better with a bit bigger window.
The battery cap should be slotted for a coin and not whatever the "+" shape is supposed to be.
Aimpoint should look at making a couple tiny bumps or a trench or tunnel in the top of the housing to serve as an emergency aiming point in case of critical failure such as a drop that cracks the ocular window.

I find the Acro to be no easier or harder, compared to another optic with a similar size window, to acquire the dot with. A larger display is easier to find the dot with than a smaller display.
A benefit of the Acro, I was thinking about this morning, is the ability to more easily remove it in the event of a failure or terrible weather. I was thinking about attaching an Allen wrench to my belt, for when I am carrying an Acro.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
