I spoke with Rob Leatham on the phone this afternoon. He has an Acro being direct milled onto a 1911.

His first comment was there is not a single other red dot he can recommend today. He said he is optimistic about the Acro. While not as big as a DP Pro, he said it is super easy to find the dot in the window.

I can see that. It has my interest, but not for pistol use.

If they both are as represented, I think the Acro for comp and openish carry, and the RMS W for discreet carry may be the one/two solution for now.

Not sure why everyone is so hung up on the size. Sure it displaces more volume than an RMR but is that extra volume actually in a spot that will affect how well you can conceal it? Its not like its adding length to the grip frame or slide. Its bigger but does it really matter?

This is very position and body type dependent.

Many people have issues with the corner/edge of Glock slides printing in aiwb carry, and the added size of the ACRO is definitely going to fall into that category of issue.

If one can aiwb with a reverse cant, it will probably be moot, but not everyone can due to body variables.

For strong side carry I see far less issue with the new sight.
