Thread: Aimpoint just dropped ACRO P-1 MRDS!

Would you all now consider a Gen. 5 MOS gun a suitable base gun for the Acro? Meaning since the Acro has a cross bolt mounting system and you are deleting the short screws used on other RDS. Basically eliminating one of the weak links in the mounting. I know that milling a slide will always be the best option. Would you now consider the MOS system to be more usable/ robust using the Acro vs. the RMR on a MOS?

EuroOptic has the ACRO P-1 available for pre-order:

If street is 600 then... I dunno if its 150 bucks better than a Type 2 RMR...

Cant wait for GJM to try to break one.

I’m sure the street price will come down a bit over the next year.

I think benefits of the ACRO P-1 over everything else on the market (battery life, fully enclosed design, durability) justify the price for a service pistol application.

I agree. My type 2 has been reliable for me. I am not concerned with my window size it still works great for what I use my pistol for. My dot has not washed out with my light. In day or night. Snow or no snow. But the Aimpoint seems like that next step in a reliability/carry gun situation.

Steve Fisher mentioned in the P&S 1911 episode that he is under NDA on a couple of new RDS mounting systems being released at shot. Not sure what that means.

Nighthawk just sent out their email about a MRDS mounting system, and he's a NH guy.

Negative. No slot for the ACRO’s cross bolt.
