Given that they have not changed the AIMPOINT OEM mounting plates (the old plates are shown as compatible) I would imagine there was no change to the mounting solution. It appears that the new battery cover is the main driver for the extra width.

Also… in the marketing department, it sort of looks like the boys in Sweden looked at what the boys at Walther put together with their over the top PDP video, watched a few Aaron Cowan videos, and said… “hold my beer”.

I’ve been interested in the ACRO since the original launch, but the battery issue made me pause. I think one of these will replace the RMR on my 19.5, and the RMR will go to an eventual 26.5 MOS once they finally bring them here.

It was pretty obvious to me that this would get announced seeing as I just bought a 509T.

I am sure I will upgrade to this shortly.

Anyone in the market for a low round count P-1 in excellent condition? I know a guy...

The great news is the improvements go beyond the obvious -- there is a more efficient LED and improved internal glass. Awesome! The bad news is Aimpoint marketing thinks this picture is attractive.

I still think this is probably a little bigger than I want for concealed carry on a pistol so I'll probably stick to the 509T for that purpose. I may have to pick one up for my B&T APC9k though.

I am wondering if this would be good for a Beretta 1301 or a HKSP5K. I am looking for an optic with a 4 moa-ish dot and this would seem to fit the bill.
