No experience with their optic here. I would've, given that I have three RMR-footprinted Glocks, but I don't want their reticle.
Seems like their sensor is hypersensitive though. Based on what you described, activation with walking and minimal motion, the only time it would lead to a significant battery savings is a nap time.

One long button press and the reticle is a 2 moa dot.

With the solar panel on top, anytime it's exposed to sunlight you're not using the battery at all. Matches, shooting, OWB holster etc..

I guess I'd need two more long presses built in. I want 5-6 MOA.

Anyone else find it odd that Aimpoint still claims 1.5 years of battery life on their website for these things?

I’m sure it has a 1.5 year battery life at one of the lower settings... It’s a pretty disingenuous claim, though

It actually claims 1.5 years at position 6 of 10.

They were saying that at the beginning. Im not getting tied into this again. Inevitably it will be followed with folks saying “Still superior” and “The battery only needs to be changed once a month”... My bourbon budget can’t take a second round of that shit.

As far as duty grade pistol optics, it's the first coming.
