My great-uncle was a machinist/metal worker from a time where "men were men" and "safety equipment is for pansies". He spent the last 15 years of his life with a patch over his left socket, because he never wore safety glasses while grinding metal, and had several metallic splinters in his left eye. His story about what happened when they turned the MRI on was...unsettling.
