Decided to do this again with a different gun:

Hiatus of 2 weeks, and it showed a bit. Shot this on lit indoor range, Gen5 17, Ameriglo sights(yellow front), out of a Safariland GLS holster unconcealed. End of day; does anyone else notice a bit of fatigue affecting performance?
    Enough excuses: String 1=4.22, S2=5.41(down 1, high),S3=8.58(down 1, also high) and S4=4.10, clean w/head hit.
22.31 raw, +2= 24.31, “Expert”; just relaxed focus a bit, I think, on those slightly high hits.
Hit this again Monday. Shot some me others like “Wizard”(concealed), 5 yard roundups, but just a bit “off”, so I retired before frustration...

I ran this 4 tines today. Twice with a g19 in a DSG holster and twice with a g43 in a keepers errand. I did not have a mag pouch so all Reloads were done by putting a mag in my belt line. I found out the reason why they invented mag carriers lol

    Glock 19
    String 1 3.22

    String 2 5.42

    String 3 9.29

    String 4 3.93

3c and I missed the headshot. Grr. I was pushing too fast and not seeing my sights.

    Total time: 22.06 + 8s penalties = 30.06s

    G19
    S1 3.32
    S2 6.14
    S3 8.40
    S4 3.63

    2c 1d

    21.49s + 5 = 26.49s

I slowed down to get hits but that D killed me!

    G43

    S1 4.58
    S2 5.94
    S3 11.81
    S4 4.89

    8c

27.22s + 8s= 35.22. Geez this was just horrible. The wheels just feel off but this is why we train.

    G43

    S1 4.27
    S2 7.7
    S3 11.56
    S4 4.25

2c and I missed the headshot. I really tried to slow down and get my hits and then rushed the headshot.

    27.78s + 7s = 34.78s

    Lots to work on!

    String 1: 2.60, down 1
    String 2: 3.75, down 0
    String 3: 6.01, down 0
    String 4: 3.33, down 1

    Total raw time: 15.69
    Points down: 2
    Total score: 17.69
    Classification: Master

Notes: I'm dealing with a recently aggravated shooter's elbow, and even though it hurt both drawing and shooting, I felt like I shot pretty well, and the speeds were right there with my better times. I do think the elbow affected the first string, which I usually shoot clean. I missed the 4" -0 head circle but kept it in the square... This string is probably one of my most frustrating. I could stand to make up some time and build more consistency.

    2nd Run

    String 1: 2.69, down 0
    String 2: 3.88, down 1
    String 3: 6.27, down 0
    String 4: 3.21, down 0

    Total raw time: 16.05
    Points down: 1
    Total score: 17.05
    Classification: Master

Notes: Made a good head shot this time, but felt myself lose control a bit with the SHO string. A couple runs of the "Stoplight" drill really helped build my confidence, but I didn't have time to shoot the 5x5 again. Still chasing a clean sub-15 second run.

    * Beretta M9A1 with factory Elite hammer, BrigTac-style mag release, "D" spring, Wilson rear sight, fluted guide rod, mag guide, and LTT grips.

A new (to me)19X, GLOCK night sights. Reload was a new GLOCK 24 round mag, which I think will become my carry mag. 2 runs:
    First:3.86+1, 5.99(+6!),9.36, 4.57=23.78 raw/30.78 score.
    Second: 4.34+1, 5.01, 9.56+1,4.71=23.71 raw/25.71 score:”Sharpshooter”. No cover, GLS holster.
I will most probably change the sights; noted that with just a hair up, shot high-would like a better “picture”. This 19X could grow on one. Need a bit of dryfire practice w/mag to insure against fumbling. Givens “Core Skills”=94.
    Finished w/Gen5 17: a 277 on “FBI 300”, 5 yard Roundup@98 and a clean “Wizard”, concealed-ready for weekend!
