    Good trade? (Model 66-2)

I have an item listed elsewhere for $460 and someone has offered me a Model 66-2 4-inch in trade. I only have one revolver that I inherited from grandpa (pre-Model 10) and don't know much about them other than what I've gleaned from some topics on here. From the pics he sent, it looks like a good shooter and it seems like a fair trade based on the prices I saw on Gunbroker. Was looking for thoughts from the wheelgun aficionados on here to make sure there's no reason I should be avoiding this particular example:

Looks like a pretty fair deal to me. I've been stalking a lot of K and N frames on GB lately and a trade value of $460 definitely puts this under market value.

If it checks out, oh, hell yeah.

Unfortunately the seller is in another state so I'll have to decide based on his pics and description. He's got quite a bit of positive feedback, so I'm thinking I'll take a chance on it pending some more pictures he's supposed to send after cleaning it up a bit.

Not that I wouldn't have posted that anyway, but I didn't catch that this was not a face-to-face transaction.

I'd request a closer photo of the forcing cone. There's a shadow present at six o'clock that might be a crack. If it's just a shadow that's a decent trade.

That gun has seen some serious use. I'd do the check out and consider getting it. I wouldn't shoot any Magnums in it though.

I would also offer this comprehensive revolver inspection protocol from a very experienced industry figure:
