Being a bit of a history buff, I really enjoy any gun with some history attached to it. So when I found this model 28 that had ridden in the holster of a Texas Highway Patrolman (see what I did there) I jumped on it.

Very nice! A few years ago I had the option of two nice revolvers; a M28 like yours or the 686-1 I ended up with. Both were in excellent shape and the 686 had a smoothed out trigger. I got the 686 because my intent was competition and I thought it would fit that role better.
