    Dan Wesson guns are fairly notorious for this happening. It is not an issue that really effects anything aside from perceived smoothness when racking the slide slowly by hand.

    After shooting it some more the disco will likely become more "smoothed" and the problem you are describing should go away. Otherwise your disco may need some attention.

    I disagree, the attached image should illustrate what I am talking about. This to me would be almost fully to the rear.

    Mine doesn't seem as bad as the one mentioned in that thread, but sure sounds like the same issue.

    Obviously much more shooting is in order.

    I lost faith in flat wire springs in 1911s after this

    Relatively low round count.

    Broke after my last round before I clocked in for work at the range. I holstered and went about my business. I went to shoot a little after work and when I was unloading my carry ammo I noticed something was up.
