I'm trying to decide on sights to replace the aged out Mepros on my Kimber. And in the process, I determined I cannot adequate visualize misalignments with each potential setup in my mind's eye. So, I decided to do some mockups for myself to see which misalignments I see most rapidly. Three sight patterns are shown here -
Three dots with white rear, green front (mimicking a Novak's setup of two white rear, with green trit front).
Straight Eight (without white outlines)
Gold Line front sight, plain black rear.
I quickly figured out I can see minor misalignments much faster with the Straight-Eight setup than I would I have predicted. And ended up doing more misalignments of this setup than I did of the others. I share these, because folks may find them interesting. I made them in Affinity Photo for Mac and can provide .SVG or Photoshop files if someone wants them to mess with.
