There are always girls with low self esteem to follow.

Holy shit, is this the truth. SERIOUSLY, I started an Instagram a few months ago to follow gun companies. The number of low-self esteem girls who are "Instagram Models" is rivaled only by the number of "Aspiring Adult Models" on casting couches on PornHub.

I wouldn't let me niece or daughter or son or nephews have a Instagram accounts. Seriously, it is by far one of the most fucked up forms of shallow vapidity the internet has to offer.

But there is plenty of eye candy.

So, I do this and not five minutes later, I get a call from my wife,
her: OMG what made you decide to get an Instagram account...bla, bla, bla...
me: I didn't. Signed in with FB because a dude on P-f is trying to win a guitar and asked for likes.
her: Now I can tell you to look at all the cute pictures, bla, bla, bla, ...
me: (thinking to myself) you better win that MFing guitar MFer.

You can always delete it when the contest is over...

This was less than 24 hrs after PRK and I was overwhelmed with everything, visually. I don't smile anyway but there's at least part of an excuse now.

No worries. I usually don't smile either but have been listening to The Art of Charm podcast and been working on it.

I look at pictures of the outdoors & national parks. Especially the cold ones that I want to view on TV and not in real life because I hate cold weather.

I think Tumblr has Instagram beat by a large margin. At least Instagram is safe for work. Never know when your standard Tumblr gun blog will have a gif of group sex.

In terms of porn and adult content, yes. But in terms of number of users posting insanely vapid pictures of themselves? Instagram and Snapchat are the winners. On Tumblr you might find gifs of group sex, followed by pictures of mountains, and awesome custom motorcycles, or hand drawn comics, or whatever. On Instagram, it is one stupid picture after another of people whoring for attention. I'm sure there are some Tumblr users that whore for attention, but it seems to be far fewer than Instagram.
