America's favorite teen has been offered a book deal.

Wow, couldn't see that coming.

I think "Never Again" was already taken...but add a hashtag and what's old is new again.

David Hogg has signed his first book deal.

The Parkland shooting survivor-turned-gun activist will be partnering up with Random House for a June 5 release.

He will be writing the book with his sister, Lauren Hogg, who was also at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School when former student Nikolas Cruz went on his deadly shooting spree.

It will be titled “#NEVERAGAIN: A New Generation Draws the Line.”

“Today @lauren_hoggs and I are announcing our book #NeverAgain that tells the story of the foundation of this movement for those we lost,” Hogg tweeted. “Lauren and I will be using the money made from the book to help heal the community. #NeverAgain out June 5th.”

Former coworker's favorite term of derision for a while was "schmegma breath" which I assumed was Yiddish but honestly never checked.

In "The Culture War Continues" topic here, there was some (civil) discussion about whether it was appropriate to use Holocaust symbolism to advance our agenda, with objections ranging from "poor taste" to "offensive".



I wonder if the gun-owner-control crowd has enough self-awareness to ask the same question of themselves.

edited to add: Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft wrote a book "Never Again: Securing America and Restoring Justice" (2006). So I guess the precedent has been set; I don't recall Ashcroft receiving any grief over the book's title (nor do I actually remember the book itself).
