    That GT4, buddy. The GT4 - https://www.carscoops.com/2019/04/po...he-green-hell/

    420 horsepower, 6-speed stick with auto rev-matching.

    Get the carbon-ceramic brakes.

Might want to save some extra cash for the speeding tickets.

I would be so confused. Nearly thirty years of non-auto rev matching makes it like walking.

RJ, PM me before buying CC brakes.

    $10,500.

For a set of PCCB rotors.

    $10,500.

Eh I dunno I might be nuts about cars but I suspect even if I put my foot down I’d never get approval from SWMBO to get a p-car with PCCBs.

Well, with the right pads and brake fluid, I’m pretty sure you could avoid any brake fade on the track anyway.
And, for about 10% of the cost of those ceramic rotors, you could replace all of the parts yourself in the garage.

This is ancient history, but it kept rolling on. I forget whether they ended up winning overall four or five years in a row. The car was used regularly for track days throughout the year. They'd throw on a new set of front rotors, which at the time were something like $250 each retail, before One Lap each spring.

Full disclosure: I had a minor administrative role in the effort for a few years, but haven't been affiliated with any entity mentioned for a long time now.

    Misc Log Update
    19 May 2019 54,115 miles

    $69 iPhone Mount

Installed a t-design Universal Phone mount. This is a mount specifically designed for the 981 by a 981 owner. Fit is easy, just pushes in. I use mine for my aftermarket backup camera. Very well made and useful accessory.

    $59 Racing Jack

Received the new 1.5T Aluminum low profile jack from HF. Works well. I used to have one of these for the M3.

    $40 - Side Lights

Worked out a deal with a PCA member on an original pair of OEM orange side marker lights. With a silver car I never liked the aftermarket LED lights the previous owner installed. It's a common "change". But, not "as original". My bud had a take-off set sitting in his garage, so I sent him a check and he mailed me the lights. I must be the ownly 981 owner on the Planet that likes Orange. And they are original to the car.

    $40 - Framed Museum Picture

Not exactly car specific but I am very proud how this picture of the early Porsches I took at the Revs Institute in Naples FL turned out. Getting it printed on SnapFish was $20, and the frame was $20 at IKEA. I really like it.
