Unless you live in the north and drive them year round. Got 3-years and about 25k miles on the Michelin Defenders I put on my Mazda. But shit streets and road salt are hell on tires, and suspension, and cars in general.

    Good call.

Looked at them just now, and the ‘valves’ or at least what I can see are definitely not rubber, they are metal.

Question: the shop advertises a computerized wheel alignment service. Shop is a major chain (Tire Kingdom), is new, and there was a 911 Carrera on the lift getting brakes while I was there.

I don’t know the service history ref alignments before January, when the 40k service was done. The current tires are worn but even.

Would you do an alignment in this situation?
Align every year and Every time you install new tires.

I just did on the wife’s new hot rod.

Sweet! Great choice. Mrs. loves her new RX350.

I did get the alignment done with the Michelins. The difference over the Goodyear's is very apparent. Car tracks straight and true, and in particular the wet weather grip is very sure whereas before it was a little squirrely in the rain.

I haven’t had the RCF in the rain yet, this week for sure though. It has Michelin Pilot Sport somethings. Grip is good and keeps the 467hp in check so far. Time will tell if I switch to another brand, we have only put @200 miles on it so far.

    Nice. Was it these:

    ?

With only 325 bhp in the Cayman S, it's not exactly tire shredding. But it only has to haul around me plus 2,900 lbs ish it's fairly uh responsive.

I’m not sure, they were new tires already installed on the vehicle. I did the alignment and rotate/balance more to QC the vehicle and have a base line.
