The Dakar's personality dramatically changes with the different modes -- sport, rallye, and off road. Also suspension lifted (3.2 inches) or regular.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

Most people who buy Dakars are buying them for the equivalent of BBQ guns. Nothing wrong with that.
But if you're going to beat a 911 to shit, it's going to take a lot more reinforcement and armor than what a Dakar comes with.
I’ve had a number of dedicated ralllycross and rally cars over the years.
True purpose rally cars… are not great on tarmac. Tires appropriate for off road are soft and get chewed up on pavement very quickly.

Kind of like mudding trucks, something designed for adverse conditions won’t be great on tarmac.
Even a Cayenne benefits from Summer / Winter tire swaps.
