    One:
    1-7.52, -1
    2-7.47, -0
    3-4.77, -1
    19.76 total time
    22 hits x 5 = 110
    110/19.76=5.57 hit factor
First two runs were a very measured, even cadence, front sight tracked and solid before each trigger squeeze. Third run was an attempt to run the gun. Less refined sight picture, faster trigger work.

    Two:
    1-5.39, -1
    2-5.55, -1
    3-5.23, -0
    16.17 total time
    110/16.17=6.80 hit factor
More consistent times, more consistent and centered hits

I really am liking the gun. I think, with some work, I can run the drill faster.

This drill is a great diagnostic tool for your grip. If you can’t run at least a 10 hit factor, you have major low hanging fruit to pick with your grip technique, and a trip to TPC is probably one of the better gun investments you can make. If you can’t get to TPC, study the videos in the blog section of their website.

Good drill to show how much grip work I need and a convenient drill for those of us that can’t always draw from a holster at the local range. I felt the pistol rotate to the support side as I shot the drill. I tried it two more times and saw a lot of improvement by paying more attention to my support side grip.

The goal of the TPC grip, is to make the gun return predictably. My wife struggled at shots 4, 5 and 6 on Bill drills, because the gun was slowly overcoming her through the string. TPC fixed that for her, and now shots 4-8 on the TPC 24 are the same as shots 2-3. Here is JoAnn Bradley, one of the TPC instructors demoing the grip. Since Ken Nelson used her to demo, on multiple days at TPC, I have the image of her demoing this locked into my mind.

Historically, I have had some bend in my arms, particularly my right arm, and that has cost me performance in making the gun return predictably. When I do it right, I feel the strength coursing through my body right into the grip of the pistol. Last weekend, at a two day match, someone took this photo of me, and you can see some bend in my right arm.

My wife took this photo today, in my optimal stance, and it makes an enormous positive difference for me.

Hmm. TPC is in St George. I’ll have to check that out - it’s far, but midway between here and places I visit in Utah on purpose.

Boy, do I need to figure out some of that TPC grip magic.

    First run
    1. 5.52 (-1?) 8 shots but only 7 holes. I either flung one clean off of the target frame or put two through the same hole. I don't believe for a second that I missed the frame, but could not prove otherwise.
    2. 5.31 -0
    3. 5.49 -1

    Time 16.32
    Score 115 or 110
    Hit factor 7.04 or 6.74

    Second run
    5.06 -1
    4.76 -0
    4.95 -1

    Hit factor 7.45

    Boo.

Grip, grip, grip. I could see the PX4CC jumping to the left the more I pulled the trigger.
    4/21/18 run
    1. 7/8 in 3.39
    2. 7/8 in 3.47
    3. 6/8 in 3.96

    Totals- 20/24 in 10.82 for a 9.24 hit factor.
This country needs an enema- Blues approved sig line

    Anything you noticed

I got progressively better as I warmed up and learned the drill and pushed myself a bit more, trusting the sights and myself to fire faster. The group on the fastest target really was no worse than when I was shooting slower.
