Current version of the commercial model is supposed to be drop safe. The current commercial model has the upgrades found in the .MIL / M17 and DHS versions which are also drop safe. Those upgrades primarily consist of a thinner trigger and disconnector added to the FCU.

Also part of the upgrade are a skeletonized striker assembly and a lightened sear with a half cock notch added. The new sear is positively controlled by the trigger/trigger bar so it cannot move without also moving the trigger and triggerbar. Nearly all the sub-components of the FCU have been altered somehow and many function significantly differently than prior.
Anything I post is my opinion alone as a private citizen.

They better hope those X carrys shoot straight, no Glocky low left stuff. Cause you can be a hardest mofo SOF, and you still won't be able to live down a drifted front sight.

Norwegian Police Adopt SIG SAUER P320 X-Series as Standard Service Pistol

Looks like the Norwegian police are replacing their P30L’s with P320 X Carry’s.

My lizard brain has been pulling me back towards Sig lately...this isn’t helping.

Maybe they got their act together. Kudos to them for another contract.

No doubt soon to be followed with replacing their HK 416/417 rifles with the MCX, and their Aimpoints with Romeos.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

I hate to say it but the more contracts they get, the more it seems like 320 is going to be this generation's Glock in terms of development and support. That many .mil and .gov firearms, worldwide, is bound to accelerate the lessons and failures and low hanging fruit past the other new-ish pistols available.

Don’t get crazy. Though the Romeo 4M has really exceeded my expectations.

Their P30Ls are LEM - they likely just want a gun that is easier to shoot.
