Ooo, Trump will not like that. He's had a mad-on for Jeff Sessions over his recusal.

    Cohen needs a better lawyer.

If it wasn’t Berman who requested the warrant then it was probably his deputy, Robert Khuzami. He is another bright guy who happens to be a Republican (at least he spoke at the 2004 GOP Convention).

My point being that Mueller did not authorize this raid. It came from the US Attorney’s Office after being vetted by multiple layers of DOJ lawyers and at least 1 Federal Magistrate who probably called a shit load of District Judges for guidance (sarcasm). Yes, Rosenstein signed off, but the leg work was done by the US Attorney’s for the Southern District of NY.

I’m still struck by the irony that after all the talk of Russia, Russia, Russia, the single greatest threat to the Trump Presidency is the fumbled handling of payments from a BILLIONAIRE to a glorified hooker and Playboy Bunny. You really can’t make this shit up.

I have no doubt that there is enough for probable cause as I have to believe that an attorney, especially the personal attorney of the sitting President, would get every benefit of every doubt. My point in bringing up the US Attorney's recusing himself is that it points to how serious this is. The recusal itself has to be approved by the Attorney General (or, more likely in this case, the Deputy Attorney General -- who also approved the application for the search warrant).

We are looking at another Watergate.

I think the recusal makes sense (in an abundance of caution) in order to avoid the potential appearance of any impropriety.
There's nothing civil about this war.

So since it was the Left that benefitted Ivan, all they have is payoffs for a guy who slept with a porn actress years ago? For real ?

Reminds me of an investigation into an Arkansas land deal culminating with lies about bagpiping behind the Resolute Desk...go figure.

But didn't the land deals actually happen?

Special counsels suck because they investigate the man, not the crime.

I guess I’m not terribly surprised. I seem to recall some special prosecutors investigating a land deal and ending up getting a president impeached (but not convicted) over lying about a blowjob.

You would think that, by now, I would learn to read through an entire thread before commenting on an earlier message.
