    Nice! I'm thinking of sending a Gen 4 or 3 to him eventually and getting the works done but I'm hesitant to do a Gen 5 over the nDLC finish they use which I really like.

    I haven’t seen a stock gen 5 finish but the finish he did is nicer than any glock I’ve owned! It really is nice. So I asked about the difference in gen 3 to 4-5after he does the reduction and he stated the 4-5 starts smaller so it ends up smaller which is what I wanted as the gen 3 gun just feels huge in my hand. So it just depends on what you want out of the finished product size wise. I shoot 1911’s the most and wanted to maintain grip angle and circumference as much as I could. YMMV

    Congrats! Ben does some awesome work. I've got a gen 4 G34 in his queue, and am very impatiently awaiting it.

    As for slide coating, if I'm not mistaken its black nitride.
