Finished the season last night.... One disappointment was that the running time seemed to be about 2 hours shorter (for the season) than the previous seasons...
Seemed most episodes ran about 45-50 minutes vs being closer or > 1hour previously.
Maybe just my show-hole filling with regret..

Just finished it as well. As good or better than any other 4 seasons of cable crime shows with the possible exception of the aforementioned "The Wire."
My wife and I just binged watch Season 1. We both loved it. Matter of fact she just asked if I want to start Season 2 today.

I'm 4 or 5 episodes in and enjoying it as much as the other seasons.
According to the little trivia factoids that are available when you watch on a Kindle Fire, Bosch's house is the same as DeNiro's girlfriend's in Heat. Don't think I'd ever seen that.

Heat was an excellent movie.
The Bosch house is at 1870 Blue Heights Drive, LA.
I can find images of the house on the Interwebs, but I can't download or post them.
I don't think I could live in either house.
I'd always worry about some guy pulling the house down like Mel Gibson did in Lethal Weapon 2.
