Excellent review and follow-up. Your attention to salient details (and great writing skills) are much appreciated. While I'm still on the fence regarding the G19X, as I have a perfectly functioning Gen 3 G17 and G19, I'm probably slowly inching over to the G19X, if only as what seems to be a great Gen5 in a niche that I don't have filled.

    Best, Jon

This makes me interested as well. I wish they'd sell a version with 10 (or better, 15rd) mags so I could order one here in CO

Currently 8,057 rounds, 19 loads total, 2 new loads, still only 1 ammo related stoppage to date. FASTs are running ~5.5-6, consistent “Dark Pin” runs, with less consistent “Light Pins.” LAV “tests” in the 6-7 sec range. I shot some other 19Xs equipped with OEM night sights, reinforcing my strong preference for the Ameriglo Agents on my gun. The BlackPoint holster pictured and another variant are GTG. New RSA installed.

Any issues with finish "flaking" on the trigger bar? My trigger became quite "crunchy" around 3k.

Nope. I did a detail inspection awhile back and everything was GTG. Trigger press is a clean, smooth rolling break.

I saw one at my dealer locally. For the New Jersey market, they ship with 10 round magazines. I'm sure likewise for other 10 round states.

Thanks for the outstanding review. With a gray frame and black slide it could be my ultimate Glock!

Love my 19X. Local gunshop didn't have a Gen5 19 in stock and the salesman handed me one. The balance caught my immediate attention and I prefer the Gen5 triggers. I just swapped out the stock sights for a set of Wilson Combats. The only other modification I intend to make is switching out the trigger shoe, probably with the new one from Tango Down.

The only negative things I could say are minor: The finish has shown a little more holster wear than I would have expected, and I'm still trying to figure out the purpose of that lip extension thingy on the front of the grip. I think this one will be a surprise winner for Glock, especially when the black version comes out.

Sorry if I missed it.....19x vs 19 with g17 mag?

Understanding if your hands are large the 19x is likely better.
