I am looking for recommendations and opinions on mag pouches for AR mags. I would most likely be carrying them on a belt, so MOLLE would not be a requirement. I would prefer singles to doubles or triples.
Primary uses would be recreational shooting with an occasional match.
ETA: I tried searching, but the info I found was pretty old. But then, I have a proven ability to ask the wrong question when using the search feature.

Holds magazine tightly, quiet, does not catch on things like a kydex pouch with hard (90 degree) angles. May not work for all people.....

Yep. At this point I've pretty much standardized on Tacos for rifle magazines. They fit molle, they fit on a standard belt. They also, interestingly, fit 2x MP5 magazines or a VEPR 12 magazine. The most versatile option I've come across.Originally Posted by cornstalker
