The stories I have heard about the Kahr's are not confidence inspiring.

I have two Kahr PM-9s. One I bought in 2002 or 2003 and one I bought in 2017. I think both had a bobble or two within the first few magazines, but they both work well. I found I can actually shoot better with the Kahr PM-9 than I can with my S&W shield. This is inexplicable since the Kahr has a longer heavier trigger.

For NPE environments or when wearing dress slacks or suites, I carry the PM-9 in a pocket holster. I have my some of my dress and suit pants tailored to have the pockets deepened a bit since most of them come with pockets that are too small for what I would normally carry--like my wallet and keys in my non-dominant side pocket. On my strong side pocket I only carry the Kahr in a pocket holster. I only carry it with the 6 round mag that does not protrude, because the extended 7 round mag makes it print and makes it more likely to get snagged if I try to draw it from the pocket.

    I currently have 3 Kahrs, a CW380 and two PM9's.
No firing malfunctions in thousands of rounds (many administrative malfunctions but that's part and parcel of the micro-Kahrs).
I recently had my first ever malfunction while actually firing in my primary PM9.
It was a feed ramp stoppage.
I was a bit concerned until I checked the recoil spring and it was a full 1/4" shorter than a new one (that's a big deal when the spring is only 2" long or so new) and I actually thought about when the last time I changed it out was (at least 1500 rounds ago, many of them +P).
I popped a new Wolff +10% spring in and it was back to the races with a lot more "snap" to the feed portion of the recoil cycle.

In order to get three Kahr's that actually work I've gone through at least two that were total train wrecks and two more that were mehh.
I guess Kahr Inc. goes by baseball stats where "batting .350" is Hall of Fame.

Any feedback on the blue force pocket holster? From the pics online it doesn't appear to do anything to break up the outline of the gun. Haven't seen many reviews on these.

Anyone with experience with the Ruger LCP II? Specifically when compared to the original LCP and/or the Glock 42?

I went through two P380's and many hundreds of rounds trying to get them to work. Half a dozen trips back to the factory, one replaced frame and experimentation with three iterations of magazines (that was my clue) yielded only questionable reliability. You've got to have mental confidence in your equipment, and I just didn't have any with Kahr.

Half a dozen LCP's and a couple of thousand rounds have resulted in ZERO malfunctions.

A friend has three or four Kahr's that have never missed a beat. It just is what it is.

.380 pistols from Glock, Kahr, Ruger and Kel-Tec all fell short for me; either too big, unreliable, lousy sights or just ergonomically challenged. What has surprisingly emerged as the .380 winner for me is the S&W BG380; integral laser, some orange FS paint, Magguts boosts mag capacity from 6 to 7 rounds. Mine has a very good trigger and is accurate and reliable with 90 grain XTP's. Even though it is a little pistol, it is easy to shoot well.

I cut my shooting teeth on revolvers so I find the DA style trigger on the standard (Gen 1 or 2) model LCP to be no real impediment. I don't particularly like the LCP II (and have no intentions of switching) but most people (I would guess 99%) shoot it better than the original design.

This target represents the very first shots I've ever fired from an LCP II (it got better) in a walk-back drill ..... 6 shots from the 3,5,7,10, & 15 yard line. As you can see, the wheels came off at the 15 on this initial run.

    For me:

LCP II is a bit easier to shoot. Especially on a timer.

The LCP's and LCP II's I have shot fall apart past 15 yards... but the KAHR 380 I can hold 6-8 inch groups at 25 yards.

I clear the Hackathorn Wizard drill at least once a month with the LCP. They are a lot of work to shoot well. I hate micro 380's, but I'm armed very often when others are not.

The Glock 42 is on another planet in regards to how much easier it is to shoot for me.

I have a friend that had an LCP and has the 42. He traded the LCP in for the LCP II and it's his favorite of the three. For what that's worth...
