I don’t. Please explain it’s place in history, and why it is such a find?

What a beautiful find! Truly a grail and unicorn gun at the same time!

Neat! It appears to be in good shape.
I was into 10mm Auto before it sold out and went mainstream, but these days I'm here for the revolver and epidemiology information.

The bore and cylinders have some old grease/build up, but the bore looks good ... Little holster wear (more like "character") on the muzzle and some of the cylinder.

Picking it up tomorrow and will ask S&W to do their serial number thing for me. I dunno the year exactly, we sorta tried to dig it up at the gun shop, but I wanted to respect the owner's time.

BTW - "The Bullet Hole" in Sarasota is a great place with some genuinely nice people behind the counter! Strongly recommend! http://www.bulletholesrq.com/AboutUs
I always appreciated that they had the kids running around back there with the dog.

Tam said it might be a shooter - grip fit my truck-a-saurus hands well and I'll probably try her out.

Sadly, if it isn't an RMR G26, nobody cares... LOL

That's ok... You and I (and DaggBoy) know how cool this stuff is!

Since it has honest wear, I'd shoot it (standard velocity only) and enjoy an amazing piece of craftsmanship!
