Suvorov is right. Boy and Girl Scouts, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Red Cross, United Way, Planned Parenthood, the Humane Society, Nat'l Council of Churches along with member churches, the Pope, all national and state teacher organizations, various national and state police organizations, fire fighter organizations, various municipalities, many school districts nationwide, many colleges and universities, insurance companies, various medical and dental associations, fringe groups, weird groups, idiots and other incompetents, fruitcakes, and more will scream as a group and contribute money to rally their cause. Said another way, the entire list of Hillary contributors will chip in.

My opinion is that networking to accomplish these aims began before this shooting(and the last one)with the expectation that another "better for their purposes" would occur.

One reason I think they're bleating so loudly about guns this time around is there's a growing amount of evidence that this was a governmental and societal failure of epic proportions in a deep blue county.
Everybody that had a chance to intervene in a meaningful way was a progressive (from the adoptive mother to the school admin to the local LE) and they failed time after time after time.
This was a failure of progressivism and has to be covered up somehow.

In this era of Poe's Law, when real opinions can be indistinguishable from attempts at over the top sarcasm, your confusion is understandable.

I always want to ask people in the no-guns on campus debate, if they will swear to be the human shield/suicide charge. I tell them about the old professor at Virginia Tech who was killed holding the door shut so the students could escape. He was a Holocaust survivor and had to die because he couldn't defend the door efficaciously. Do you swear to do that? Charge or be a shield?

Of course, those folks will look at you like you are crazy and say it would be better to ban all guns.

Pretty much. Same response to asking them to say how, exactly, having a gun present in the hands of a teacher, staff (or in the case of colleges, student) could possibly make an active shooting incident worse.

Agreed. I was thinking of weak links and vulnerabilities the other day and brought myself to tears. What did Burke say “ The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing ”

Unfortunately the doing nothing, has turned into chanting "do something", which is neither defined or thought through.
