it is a 32 cal
only markings STERLING on top
Great Grandfather bought it in New York around 1910
he had heard there were indians out west
he settleled in North Dakota

Unless there is some historical significance that is documented, value is probably mostly sentimental.

The 32 rim fire or short center fire in obsolete but you can get them at "old west scrounger" for like $5.00 a round.
