    The advantage of anti inflammatory drugs (nsaids, ibuprofen, etc) is that reducing inflammation quickens healing so long as you don't keep aggravating the same area and you lay off once it's better.

    I’ve been there myself with tendon issues. Strength through discipline is the rule which governs true progress. Don’t let your muscles outrun your tendons.
