This is my trophy class spotted bass from Lewis Smith Reservoir in Alabama. Anything over 5 lbs is generally trophy class and I have caught a number of 5’s, 2 over 6 lbs, and this one at 7.25 lbs.

My lures are clearly too small. Earlier this summer, I caught a *maybe* 3 pound largemouth on an 8-inch Swim Whizz/Believer. Anybody know if they make a 15-inch version of that lure so I can actually catch some muskies? :P

Oh, I know. I'm just impressed at how ambitious small/medium bass can be sometimes.
