    S&W model 66

Trying to get an idea of what the value is for this. Has original box and papers, with cleaning kit. Original dark wood grips plus the ones pictured. Any help would be appreciated.Name: A3D20E7A-02AC-4173-8874-40B93DEC839F.jpg

It's either a 66 or a 66-1 based on the P/R barrel. Gunbroker prices range anywhere from high $400-$700 from a quick search.

About $550-700, depending on overall condition.

I paid $600 for my 66-1 about a year and a half ago, for whatever that is worth. Bought it from the original owner, in good shape.

It’s a no dash, originally purchased in 1976. My dad got it 86 and hasn’t been fired since. From my untrained eye I’d call it in excellent condition.

With original box, papers, grips and cleaning kit I'd say in the $700-800 range easy.

    YES !!!

Setting aside the fact it was your daddy’s gun, it’ll keep it’s value or possibly appreciate. If you don’t need to sell it right now, I’d put it away somewhere and forget about it.

Or better yet, shoot the piss out of it

    OP-

if that was your father's revolver, keep it in the family. my dad had a 1980's production beretta 92 that i sold...it was nothing special but i regret selling it. if i had a fine condition model 66 like that i would shoot it once a year and make sure it gets handed down the family.
