Finally got around to testing the magnaported 365xl. I am happy with it- takes the edge off recoil but doesn't affect reliability/ejection using factory springs, ejection remains perfect.
Would I do it again? Yes.
Did it make a CRAZY difference in recoil like other ported guns I have or have shot? No.
Would I carry it? Hell yes.
Overall, I have no complaints and I do think it works well. It makes the gun feel closer to a non ported G19 than a thin subcompact like a G43.

The slide is extremely dry in that picture, it looks better oiled. I was going to try and cold blue the slide cut areas but realized it wasn't really necessary and the magnaport website says you don't need to cerakote or otherwise treat the metal.
Since comps were being discussed I thought this post on Instagram was interesting. P365 barrel with a p365xl guide rod assembly and you get "40-50% reduction in muzzle rize" .

These slides are expensive solutions for a $500 gun... Cool nonetheless and maybe worth it if you can sell the factory slide

Looking forward to your review. I'm guessing the same thing could be done for a Glock. Fancy Glock 17 length slide with comps cut into it installed on my G19 frame.
