Do we still not have standard size 365 threaded barrels from the factory? ANY threaded factory 365 barrels? I thought this was a scalable system...

Question about recoil springs. Sig makes 2 for the 3.1" barreled slides. The telescoping, pogo stick and the single flatwound spring around a larger diameter guide rod.

    vs

Of course the nomenclature in the midway listing is confusing because why have clearly defined terms. The 365 and 365X both use the same slide assembly and same 3.1" barrel so saying one of the above products fits both "P365 and P365X" and the other is just for "P365" is, afaik, an error? The longer slide 365XL spring assembly is almost certainly a different, longer assembly; I haven't verified though.

For the shorter slide, 3.1" barrel P365 and P365X what's the meaningful difference bewteen these two springs? Gen4 Glocks, for instance, have had a factory pogo-stick and aftermarket fat-guide-rod-single-spring alternative for years. But only one of them is OEM. What's the deal with Sig offering 2 different recoil spring assemblies for the same gun?

Just slide vs barrel. Both the p365, x, and xl have been reliable for me.

On iron sights prefer p365/x recoil with optics prefer p365xl

The product numbers suggest that the flat wire spring was the original assembly, which was obsoleted by the Glock-style stacked spring assembly. The original probably came on the market before P365X existed. This sounds suspicious, because the stacked spring is "low tech" and all the ultramodern guns trend towards the flat spring as the more fashionable approach. Nonetheless, perhaps SIG found that using the good old RSA saves 5 cents per gun.

My brand new 9mm P365 comes with the stacked spring. It also incorporates the optics cut that debuted on P365-380 and that SIG now substituted on 9mm with little fanfare.

Anyone have any experience with the MCarbo or similar trigger springs? I’m thinking of getting the kit for a lighter sear/striker block spring. I don’t think I’d replace the striker spring. I was looking at the components that get the usual polish job to smooth the pull up but am hesitant to start polishing. The sear and striker block seemed to have a coating and I’m unsure of the detriments of polishing through it. The trigger bar, etc, don’t seem to be friction points worth addressing. I’m trying to locate the source of the creep and stacking.

I have their spring kit and trigger shoe in a couple guns. Their kits make the trigger feel much nicer imo. I have thousands of rounds through one particular gun with said kit, and I'd say they are quality.
If you're not going to learn to use the front sight properly, don't bother with it. If pointing the gun, screaming "Ahhhhh!" and cranking on the trigger is all you can learn to do, work on doing that safely. -ToddG

Do you find the Mcarbo trigger shoe reduces trigger length of pull ? I've got 4 365's in one form or another and it just seems trigger reach on the Macro is a small but noticeable bit different / longer, maybe its the angle with the Macro grip module, my XL's are in WC modules. I'm thinking a little shorter reach trigger might stop the trigger bite I get with the Macro
