So. I am a weak person. November saw me pick out a S&W 4516-1, December saw me buy it. Most people would be done after getting an awesome pistol like that. But, no.
December has also seen, so far, a Kahr CT9 (hated it, bought it to help somebody, sold it), a set of Wilson Combat sights for my 92A1 - red fiber front, .290 Wilson rear, a sight pusher, 2 G42 Gadgets, and then a buddy texted me while I was at a VA appointment.
He was at the LGS, and a guy had just sold them a 3953.
I drove over an hour back to town from the VA medical center. Did I go back to work? Did I go home and do chores? Did I go shopping for the new TV Mrs Duelist wants?
No, I did not. I went straight to the LGS and field stripped the gun. It is clean and has no undue wear. I have been looking for this gun for over ten years. It came with three magazines, and a Bianchi holster and magazine carrier. $350 out the door. My card is melting.
I am not buying a model 64 S&W from SOG today. I am not. I swear. But I was thinking about it, until this happened.
As soon as I saw the picture my friend sent me, I knew I was going to buy it. He was thinking about it, but I was already done. He walked back into the store with trade stock to get that gun while I was filling out the 4473. We had a fight about who was going to be nicer about it. LOL.
I'm weak, and I'm a jerk, too.
